Version 0.2.2 Released!


Well Hello, Dear Aspra Corp Employees! Where the dickens has all the time gone!?

My reasoning for a three month delay on posting is rather long, so if you're in a hurry, the "Bottom Line, Up Front" is: 

  1. Yes, I am still alive and doing well, sans sanity.
  2. No, I have not given up on ACS:CM; quite the opposite, in fact. 
  3. Enjoy the new update!

If that's all you're after, feel free to skip below to the Update Notes (3 Months worth, it's a biggun'). However, if you're morbidly curious, or you need something to read while you're on the toilet, I'll offer a brief synopsis!

Chapter 2 starts some functions that the Prologue nor Chapter 1 had, but are essential to moving forward with the story. Namely, Combat, but also, some functions such as a procedurally generated 'dungeons' that will come into play in Chapter 3. 

I started on the Rapid Regenerative Labs (which is now at 50% complete with this update, by the way), when I realized I was growing bored of yet another CYOA style mission. RRL is larger than Chapter 1 put together, but it's also time consuming. Instead, I decided I wanted to dip my toes into the other features that will come into play for Chapter 2. 

That dip turned into a 90 day hiatus on RRL and the start to completion of the Alternative Medicine Lab(yrinth). Entire systems had to be studied, tried, rebuilt and implemented. Roughly 2,500 lines of code just for these two systems, on top of the actual mission and it's passages and images; we're now over 350 game-passages.  Out of the 90ish days since my last update, only 12 of those days went without any kind of work done on the project; I've stayed busy, and I appreciate your patience!

PLEASE NOTE: The product you see is not the final form of any of the systems; truth be told, I only have so much patience in between updates, and I figure you all will forgive me if you have to put on your game tester hat (or maybe you won't!) Be aware that more bugs, typos and non-functioning code will be in this update than previous updates; I wanted it out for folks to play, so that you all would know I was alive, and so that I could take a breather before jumping back in to tackle some debugging runs!

VERSION 0.2.2 - THE ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE LAB(YRINTH)

(BASE) COMBAT SYSTEM IMPLEMENTED

  • Traditional RPG Style System
  • Two Enemy Types
    • Move Sets that enemies pull from
  • Player Attacks (e.g. Taser, Shotgun)
  • Stability vs Transformation (Don't get dragged down!)
  • Pixel Style
    • Animations to Follow; Draft Animations Added from Existing Developers
  • Writing Code from the ground up will allow me to develop enemies (and the player) with abilities that focus on lactation, sexual resolution, etc. 

PROCEDURALLY GENERATED DUNGEON SYSTEM

  • No dungeon is ever the same!
  • Fight Infected or Move Stealthily
  • Chase System for the AML 'Big Bad,' Bull
    • Bad End Loss System
  • Special Encounters to increase your lead against the Big Bad (at the cost of humanity...)

ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE LABS

  • Utilize Procedurally Generated Dungeon and Combat System
  • Race to a Critical Cure Component against an undefeatable enemy!
  • Created and Implemented:
    • Over 80 Passages
    • Over 50 Images
  • New AML Explainer Pop-up System for First Time Users
    • Will refine and implement in all new 'functions' as they come up through story

CHAPTER 2: RAPID REGENERATIVE LABS CONTINUES

  • Brought to the 50% Completion Mark
    • Final Room on the 'South Side' of the Facility complete
    • Additional Images and Story (to include giant, erect phalluses)
    • Next Step: Crossing to the 'North Side' of the Facility!

MISCELLANOUS 

  • Transformation System
    • Images Completed to Final 'Human' Transformation Level
    • New Transformation Levels available at end of every mission
    • Doctor Norman 'Intervention' System; don't get too far gone, ya hear?
  • 'Sexy Options'
    • As story progresses, erotica will broaden. Some options you may or may not want to experience and can turn on or off
    • Available at new game start or at any time during play
      • WARNING: Disabling Mid-Game may not truly disable a system if it's already in motion...
  • Object Passed Player, Enemies
    • Player Features, Player Stats, Player Functions created with new .player object
    • Similar setup for some enemy types
    • Progeny system development (e.g. stats from mother/father)
  • Dry Erase Board Re-Work
    • Layer based image now allows for more flexibility and variety as Player's changes affect even their writing...
  • Deeper Dominant/Balanced/Submissive Options
    • More chances for you, the player, to define your character even within dialogue options between your PC and others
  • Prologue/Chapter 1 Updates
    • Never-Ending Bugs, Typos and Updates to the Original Code
    • New images that correlate with the new AML 'Big Bad' had to be implemented in Prologue Work
  • Hundreds and Hundreds of Minor Adjustments
